FP&A Controller

This role involves managing financial operations (e.g. reporting and budgeting) as well as providing support to local finance teams.

Purpose of the role

To strengthen corporate control and internal reporting and drive performance by combining financial expertise with advanced BI tooling and system oversight. This role involves managing financial operations (e.g. reporting and budgeting) as well as providing support to local finance teams. The role acts as a strategic partner to the Manager Corporate Control, Group Finance Director and the broader group and country finance teams, driving reporting accuracy, system optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. In a second phase this role supports further development of a BI-Data-team together with IT.

Key responsibilities

Internal reporting & control

  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, including consolidation, variance analysis, and commentary.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across reporting entities and business units.
  • Monitor and improve internal control processes in collaboration with operational teams.
  • Translate data into strategic recommendations and collaborate across departments to improve business performance

Consolidation (Lucanet) oversight & management

  • Own the consolidation application environment: user access, data flows, version control, and system updates
  • Support improvement initiatives to enhance the consolidation system’s usability, reporting capabilities, and integration with ERP and BI tools
  • Act as key liaison between finance and IT for consolidation-related developments and troubleshooting

Business partnering & analysis

  • Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making, cost control, and performance improvement
  • Collaborate with finance teams in the countries to align financial reporting with business realities

BI tooling & data collaboration

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools
  • Partner with IT and data teams to align reporting structures, automate data pipelines, and ensure system scalability
  • Translate business needs into technical reporting solutions and support user adoption across finance

Required skills & experience

  • Strong background in accounting, financial planning and analysis and corporate finance.
  • Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accountancy & Control.
  • At least 7+ years of experience in audit, controlling, reporting and consolidating
  • Experience with Consolidation systems (Lucanet) (administration, reporting, and improvement projects) is a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, data analysis, performance metrics, Excel, and ERP systems implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with IT and data teams on system integration and reporting automation
  • Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with non-finance stakeholders
  • Ability to translate financial data into clear business recommendations and lead the change
  • Strong analytical mindset: able to deep dive into details while keeping the big picture in sight;
  • Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a plus
  • Passion for data-driven finance, system optimization, and team development
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
