Every road or foundation has a story beneath it. That story matters. In a world of finite resources, we should give new life to the resources we use. Reborn Aggregates from Blue Phoenix help preserve natural resources.
Blue Phoenix is a global leader in the recycling and recovery of resources from diverse waste streams. For over 30 years, we have delivered innovative solutions that transform residual materials, including incinerator bottom ash, into valuable resources for use in construction and infrastructure. Our work preserves natural resources and promotes a more circular economy by recovering and supplying secondary materials for construction.
Blue Phoenix in the UK serves customers across the waste management value chain. As the largest producer of Incinerator Bottom Ash Aggregates (IBAA), we have supplied high-quality secondary construction materials for more than two decades, contributing to the development of circular infrastructure.
We process and recover valuable resources from incinerator bottom ash (IBA) received at the Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facilities.
We produce secondary aggregates from IBA, that can be used in many different applications, ranging from the construction platforms for building commercial and industrial units to road/pavement construction.
Advanced separation technologies allow us to extract ferrous and non-ferrous metals from ash and waste streams, returning valuable resources back into industrial supply chains.
We can provide you with the right solution for every project, ensuring the safe and reliable use of recovered materials in construction. Our aggregates are trusted across the UK for their proven performance, quality and compliance with the highest environmental and regulatory standards. At Blue Phoenix, we turn waste into valuable construction materials, giving resources a second life. Our recycled aggregates reduce energy use in production and remove the need for quarrying virgin materials. Over the past year, Blue Phoenix has been conducting LCA of the IBAA produced at our Blue Phoenix facilities in the UK, allowing us to provide you with accurate carbon savings for using our recycled aggregates versus the average for both virgin and other recycled aggregates according to the UK Government’s indices.
Choosing the right materials for a construction project can really reduce the carbon used in a build. Product-specific EPDs provide our partners with the precise data they need to make more informed and sustainable choices.
