In the Netherlands, Blue Phoenix is focusing on the management and processing of bottom ash from waste incineration, recovery of the metals from IBA, processing of tar-containing asphalt, and C&D waste recycling. More than 1 million tonnes of waste are processed each year and the major part of the recycled raw materials are recovered. The most important services in brief:
IBA washing solution
We recover and refine Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) from Energy-from-Waste plants, turning it into safe, certified aggregates for use in infrastructure and construction projects.
Tar-containing asphalt treatment
We apply thermal treatment to transform tar-containing asphalt into clean raw materials and renewable energy, ensuring safe roads and fully circular outcomes.
C&D waste recycling
By recycling construction and demolition (C&D) waste, we divert significant volumes from landfill and recover aggregates that can be reused in new building and civil works.
Metal recovery
Advanced separation technologies allow us to extract ferrous and non-ferrous metals from ash and waste streams, returning valuable resources back into industrial supply chains.
Roofing felt
In addition to tar-containing asphalt, we also process tar-roofing to a high grade.
