Industrial and mineral waste processing in Germany

Every industrial process produces waste streams that require the right expertise to manage safely and sustainably. At Blue Phoenix, we transform mineral residues and industrial waste into valuable resources. In Germany, our focus is on processing incinerator bottom ash (IBA), slag, furnace scrap, and other mineral waste streams.
Through advanced technology and rigorous quality control, we ensure these materials are safely transformed into usable products for the construction and industrial sectors. We offer our municipal and industrial customers many years of experience in processing mineral waste and a high level of expertise in evaluating relevant material flows. Below is an overview of our range of services.

Communal waste

street sweeping

Street sweepings, soil, and dredged material

We process urban mineral streams such as road sweepings, soils, and excavated materials. These materials are classified according to their quality. After pre-conditioning, the fractions that can be separated by screening are cleared of contaminants, which are then sent for thermal treatment. The remaining mineral components are processed in our treatment plant to produce secondary construction materials.

Commercial waste from industry and waste management

Landfill building materials

We process numerous mineral waste streams into our quality-controlled landfill construction material, e.g., filter cake, excavated soil, screenings, filter dust, foundry sand, slag, etc.

Backfill materials for salt mine

We ensure that the comprehensive quality requirements for use in mining operations are met in order to produce backfill material from mineral waste that, due to its chemical composition, is not suitable for use in landfill construction.

Project-Specific Challenges in the Processing of Mineral Waste

Years of experience in the treatment of mineral waste and in-depth knowledge of material flow management enable us to provide expert and compliant solutions to your disposal challenges.

Mineral waste containing metals

We process mineral waste and separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals by type, using state-of-the-art technology in order to return them to the raw materials market. The metal-free slag is used sustainably as a secondary building material in appropriate grain sizes.

Output materials

The outcome of our industrial and mineral waste processing is a range of safe, high-quality secondary raw materials that are tested and analysed to meet the EU regulations. These include:
